I am a New York State Certified Nursery & Landscape Professional. I had to pass a state issued exam and must continually educate myself through state approved programs, as well as pass periodic exams, to retain this certification. I graduated from two of U.S. News & World Report's Top 100 Colleges. From the SUNY - College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse, NY, I earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental and Forest Biology.
I have many years of experience working in different plant related positions and locales, including at a local landscaping nursery and with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
Agriculture is in my blood. My grandfather was a produce farmer for Campbell's and Birds Eye companies and continues to maintain a vegetable garden to this day. We enjoy sharing plants and he has been an inspiration to me. My brother is a Certified Arborist. He and his wife own and operate a full service tree care company, Arbor Experts Inc., in West Palm Beach, Florida. Gardening is in my blood, my family bleeds green!
